High performance concretes of M60 and above have been traditionally produced with low water cement ratio and mineral admixtures like silica fume and metakaolin.
The commercially available ultra fine fly ashes in US are also reported to behave similar to these mineral admixtures in development of strength while giving much better performance in terms of better workability and improved resistance to aggressive environment.
The paper discusses the use of such ultra fine fly ashes of Indian origin, produced by classification as well as by grinding in producing M60 high performance concrete and its behavior with respect to resistance to corrosion and other aggressive environment. The Paper was presented and Published at 8th NCB Int Seminar
